Setting up your pregnancy

After signing in for the first time, Nuhah walks you through a short setup wizard to personalise your tracker. It takes less than a minute.

Step 1: Your dates

You have two options:

• Last period date: Enter the first day of your last period. Nuhah calculates your estimated due date by adding 280 days (40 weeks), which is the standard method used by the NHS.
• I know from a scan: If you have already had a dating scan, enter the scan date and how many weeks and days you were at the time. Nuhah back-calculates your dates from there. This is often more accurate, especially if your cycle is irregular.

There is also an optional due date override field if your midwife or consultant has given you a specific date that differs from the calculated one.

You can always update your dates later in Settings if a scan gives you a revised date.

Step 2: Name your bump

Give your baby a name or nickname. This appears throughout your dashboard and milestone cards. You can use a real name, a placeholder like "Little One" or "Bean," or skip this step entirely. You can change it any time in Settings.

Step 3: Confirmation

A summary screen shows your baby's name and calculated due date. Tap "See Your Dashboard" and you are taken straight into the app with everything calculated and ready.

Conceived through IVF?

If you conceived through IVF and want to calculate your due date from your transfer date, use the Due Date Calculator tool (available from the Tools tab) which supports IVF transfer date calculations. You can then enter the resulting due date using the override field during setup, or update it later in Settings.
