Editorial Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Every piece of content on Nuhah is written with care, checked for accuracy, and designed to help expecting parents make informed decisions. We are transparent about how our content is created, who writes it, and how we keep it current.

Our commitment

Pregnancy is one of the most important experiences in a persons life. We believe expecting parents deserve information that is accurate, evidence-based, culturally respectful, and free from commercial bias. Every article, guide, and tool on Nuhah is created with this commitment in mind.

How we create content

Our content creation process follows a rigorous multi-step workflow:

  • Research: We review current medical guidelines from authoritative sources including the NHS, NICE, ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists), WHO, and RCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists).
  • Drafting: Content is drafted by our editorial team. We use AI tools to assist with research synthesis and initial drafting, but every piece is shaped, edited, and verified by human editors.
  • Medical review: Health-related content is reviewed by qualified medical professionals before publication. Our Medical Advisory Board ensures clinical accuracy.
  • Quality check: All content is checked for readability, accessibility, cultural sensitivity, and alignment with current evidence before going live.

Our use of AI

We believe in transparency. Nuhah uses AI tools (including large language models) to assist with content research, initial drafting, and data analysis. However, AI is a tool, not a replacement for human expertise. Every piece of health content is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by human editors and medical professionals before publication.

We never publish AI-generated health advice without human medical review. Our AI-assisted workflow helps us deliver more content faster while maintaining the accuracy standards that pregnancy content demands.

Sources and citations

All medical claims on Nuhah are supported by evidence from recognised medical authorities. We prioritise the following sources:

  • NHS (National Health Service) guidelines
  • NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines
  • ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) practice bulletins
  • WHO (World Health Organization) recommendations
  • RCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) publications
  • Peer-reviewed research from journals such as The Lancet, BMJ, and BJOG

Where we reference specific studies or guidelines, we include inline citations so readers can verify the information themselves.

How we keep content current

Medical guidelines evolve. We review our content on a regular schedule:

  • Quarterly: Pregnancy safety guidelines and clinical recommendations
  • Semi-annually: Trend-based articles and product comparisons
  • Annually: Evergreen educational content
  • Immediately: Whenever a relevant guideline changes (e.g. updated NHS or ACOG recommendations)

Every article displays a \u201cLast updated\u201d date so you know when the information was last verified.

Editorial independence

Our editorial content is never influenced by commercial partnerships. When we recommend products in our comparison guides, items are ranked by genuine value to expecting parents, not by commission rate. We clearly label all affiliate content and sponsored partnerships.

Our ethical framework specifically excludes partnerships with alcohol, gambling, adult material, and formula companies.
